Splitting Atoms. Epilogue. By: Keira.

  5 Years later...

"Hold my hand?" I ask, nervously.
"Okay." He says, his voice as shaky as mine.
"Let's check on the count of three." He suggests.
  "One..." I say.
  "Two..." He says.
  "Three!" We say in unison.
"It's positive. Derek, honey, it's positive." I say.
"We're having a baby!!!" Screams Derek.
Oh. Right. I forgot to mention the fact that Derek and I got married. Also, Harrison and Alex got married and had a child six months ago. I'm also an artist now. I'm no Picasso, but I'll get there.  Plus, things are a bit more high-tech sense it's the future. For example, pregnancy tests now tell you the gender.
"Do you want to check the gender?" I ask.
  "Yeah." He says, excitedly.
  "Boy." I say.
  "Boy?" He asks.
  "Boy." I say, smiling.
"We're having a boy!" He says, while picking me up and spinning me around.
"I have to call my parents!" Says Derek.
"I have to call Jimmy!" I say.
Oh, right. I also found a way to bring Jimmy back. He got his life back in order, met a nice guy, they got married, and then they adopted a baby.
  Finally, everything was perfect.
  I am so happy.

Splitting Atoms...

The End.

  1. There were a lot of things that I could have done for the epilogue. I considered making a sequel of her as a super hero. But I thought that she deserved a happy ending. Being a super hero is hard, and you don't have time for friends, or enough time to build a family, so I'm giving her a happy ending.
