Green
Ah, green, there you are,
I was hoping I’d catch you,
Cause yellow’s not here

Oh green,
How you shine so bright in the sun,
 Unlike gray,
Stuck
          In
                 His
                       Little
                             Basement.
Green,
Don’t end up like the other dark colours
You’re perfect;
Just the way you are.

Fast you are green,
     You’re
Here
          Then you’re
                             There.
First you smelled like the indoors,
Now you reek of burnt tires.

Oh green,
A true leader you are,
Setting examples for other colours,
In your bright sort of way.

But green?
You feel so cold,
I can tell you’ve been working hard,
This is no surprise.
Well,
I can tell you’re busy,
So I’ll cut to the chase,
I just wanted to say,
Thank you,
Green

  1. I love this poem a lot. My favourite part was when you said "First you smelt like the indoors, but now you reek of burnt tires." Well done
